Ingredients

  • 1 English Breakfast tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose English Breakfast tea leaves
  • 240 ml fresh water
  • 30 –45 ml milk
  • 1 –2 teaspoons sugar honey, or preferred sweetener
  • A small pinch of ground cinnamon

Equipment

  • Small saucepan or kettle
  • Tea cup or mug
  • Tea strainer (if using loose tea)

Method

Step 1: Heat The Water
  1. Pour the fresh water into a small saucepan or kettle and bring it to a gentle boil. Freshly heated water helps the tea develop a rich flavor and full aroma.
Step 2: Brew The Tea
  1. Place the English Breakfast tea bag or loose tea leaves into a mug. Carefully pour the hot water over the tea and allow it to steep for 3–5 minutes. For a stronger cup, let it brew a little longer.
Step 3: Add Milk And Flavoring
  1. Remove the tea bag or strain out the loose leaves. Stir in the milk and add sugar, honey, or your preferred sweetener. Sprinkle in a pinch of cinnamon and mix well until fully combined.
Step 4: Serve And Enjoy
  1. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed. Serve the tea immediately while warm. Enjoy it on its own or alongside toast, biscuits, or a traditional breakfast spread.
