Brew The Tea
- Start by heating water in a small pot until it gently starts to boil. Drop in black tea leaves or a tea bag. If you like extra aroma, add a piece of star anise and a small stick of cinnamon. Let everything simmer together for about 3–5 minutes so the tea becomes strong and fragrant.
Add The Egg And Flavor
- Put a peeled hard boiled egg into the pot. For better taste, you can lightly crack the egg shell before adding it so the flavors soak in more. Add soy sauce, a little sugar or honey, and a small pinch of salt. Let it cook on low heat for another 5 minutes so the egg can take in all the flavors.
Serve It Up
- Take out the tea bag or strain the liquid if needed. If you want it creamy, stir in a splash of milk. Pour the tea into a cup and serve it warm with the flavored egg on the side or dropped right into the drink.
