  • 2 cups freshly boiled water
  • 8 –10 dried aparajita butterfly pea flowers
  • 1 –2 teaspoons natural honey or freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Method
 

Step 1:
  1. Add the dried aparajita flowers to a teapot or large cup. Pour about 2 cups of freshly boiled water over them. Cover and allow the flowers to steep for 4–6 minutes, until the water develops a rich, deep blue hue.
Step 2:
  1. Strain the tea into your cups. Sweeten with honey if you like, or add a bit of fresh ginger for a gentle warmth. Squeeze in some lemon juice just before serving and enjoy the beautiful shift from blue to purple. Serve warm and savor every sip.
